There's no doubt about it that Spring has Sprung in Austin, Texas!
With temperatures already climbing into the 90's, Texans know that it's bound to be a long and HOT summer. Spring is the best time to get up, get out, and get moving before the sticky heat is too hot to handle.
One of my favorite things to do in the spring is spend the afternoon at Zilker Park. It's over 350 acres and welcoming of humans and all animals. By all, I mean ALL. I've seen horses, Texas Longhorns, dogs big and small, cats and even bunnies on leashes.
While food trucks line the parking lot, it's best to pick up your favorite to-go food and bring it along with your dog, (your Essentials Pack...duh) a friend, and a 6 pack. A speaker and some bug spray don't hurt either.
